If you're a skilled automotive technician who's tired of flat-rate pressure, weekend rotations, and fighting with warranty administrators — we'd like to introduce you to a different way to work.

May's Fleet Sales & Service is hiring technicians, and we're actively recruiting experienced auto techs who are ready to make the move into medium and heavy duty diesel. If you can diagnose and repair vehicles, you already have more of the foundation than you might think. We'll help you build the rest.

Why Automotive Techs Make Great Diesel Technicians:
The diagnostic mindset, the attention to detail, the mechanical intuition — those skills don't go away when the vehicle gets bigger. What changes is the equipment, the systems, and honestly, a lot of the frustration. Commercial truck work means:
  • No flat rate. Our technicians are paid hourly — your paycheck doesn't depend on flagging hours.
  • No retail customers. We service local and regional fleet accounts. No walk-ins, no service advisors playing telephone, no customers waiting in the lounge.
  • No weekends. First shift. Monday through Friday, first shift, every week — guaranteed. Your evenings and weekends are yours, permanently.
  • Real diagnostic work. Class 3–8 commercial trucks across a wide range of makes and applications. The variety keeps you sharp and the problems keep you thinking.

Two Roles Available:
  • Experienced Technicians — $30–$45/hr Substantial diesel or advanced automotive diagnostic experience. If you're a strong tech, we'll pay you accordingly from day one and give you the autonomy to work at a high level.
  • Transitioning Technicians — $22–$28/hr to Start You're a solid mechanic — cars, light trucks, maybe some fleet experience — and you're ready to move up in equipment class. We'll invest in your diesel training and ASE certifications, and your pay will grow as your skills do. This isn't a dead end; it's a deliberate on-ramp.
